Rebecca Lobo Husband, Marriage

Rebecca Lobo met Steve Rushin in a Manhattan bar in 2001. Steve was a writer for the sports magazine Sports Illustration, which he used to bash women’s basketball. She approached Steve solely to put him in his place, which she eventually did. She informed him that over 15000 people attended the women’s basketball games, demonstrating that Steve had never attended a women’s basketball game.

Steve admitted, out of embarrassment, that he had never attended a women’s basketball game, and Lobo invited him to one of her games. They later began dating and married in 2003 at the Springfield Basketball Hall of Fame. The couple has four children and is currently residing in Granby with her family.
