Samuel L. Jackson Teases a Key Member Of The Secret Invasion Cast

Secret Invasion Cast

Marvel has set its sights on expanding its cinematic world in a new direction with projects like Secret Invasion, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight. Secret Invasion is one such highly anticipated Marvel project that is due to debut.

The company has released relatively few details about the project, which is set to be released in 2023. We already know that a select cast member, like Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones and Olivia Coleman from The Crown, will be making their MCU debuts.

The director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Samuel L. Jackson, will return. In an interview, though, the reclusive Nick Fury spilled the beans in an ironic disclosure of a series character.

Martin Freeman will appear in Secret Invasion, according to Samuel L. Jackson

When questioned about working with co-stars by Josh Horowitz, Jackson mistakenly mentioned Martine Freeman, who had not yet been confirmed by Marvel to feature in the series. Jackson stated in the interview,

“How incredible is that?” “Martin Freeman,” he says.
Jackson continued,

“Come on, let’s go. When I came into the studio and saw Olivia Colman standing there, we both burst out laughing, and when we got down to business, it was so magnificent and so much fun. We were just having a wonderful time in general. She is really talented and effective in front of the camera.”

Everett Ross, the Deputy Task Force Commander, was played by Martin Freeman. Freeman made his debut in Captain America: Civil War when he had a brief appearance. Captain America’s shield and Sam Wilson’s falcon wings were among the items he took.

He went on to play a pivotal role in Black Panther as a prominent supporting character. When Michael B. Jordan’s character Killmonger stormed in to save Ulysses Klaue, Ross was shot in the back. Ross is subsequently saved by the Black Panther in Wakanda.

According to Samuel L. Jackson’s Spoiler

Freeman will appear in Secret Invasion for the fourth time in the MCU. Martin Freeman has also announced that he will reprise his role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Marvel Studios has kept the narrative and characters of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever tight. The highly anticipated film will star Letitia Wright as Shuri and Winston Duke as M’Baku and will be released in 2022. Dominique Thorne is expected to make her MCU debut as Ironheart.

Because Martin Freeman’s role will feature in both films, we believe Wakanda Forever and Secret Invasion will be closely related.
