Saweetie was born on July 2nd, 1993, in Hayward, California. She was born to Trinidad Valentin and Johnny Harper. She is currently 31 years old and she was born under the sign of Cancer. She is an only child. She grew up in the Central Valley. She got her high school education from Monterey Trail High School. Similarly, she got her Alma mater from San Diego University. Career
Saweetie basically started her career in 2016 by posting short rap videos on her Instagram account. She then released her single, “Icy Girl” in the summer of 2017 which did commercially well. Afterward, she went under the management of Max Gousse. Moving on, she would release another song called “Focus” which would also go viral on Instagram and Twitter. In February 2018, she went on to sign to Warner Music and her manager’s label, Artistry’s Worldwide. On March 29, 2019, she released her 2nd major-label EP, Icy, with the single, “My Type”, which would go on to peak at number 21 of the Billboard Hot 100. The single later on went on to peak at number 1 on the Rhythmic Radio Chart, and later was certified double platinum in the US. She was later on invited to Nick Cannon Present: Wild N Out as a guest performer where she performed her song, My Type. On 20th June 2020, she released her lead single for her debut album called, “Tap In”. The song peaked at 20 on Billboard Hot 100 and number 38 on UK Singles Chart. Further on, she released her second single, “Back To The Streets”, with Jhene Aiko, and her third single, “Best Friend”, with Doja Cat. Both songs were commercially successful.
