SEVENTEEN Establishes A New Personal Best Record On The Hanteo Chart

SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN made their long-awaited return on May 27 with their fourth studio album, Face the Sun, and lead song, HOT. Their special anniversary CD has been making waves on the worldwide music charts. On the Hanteo Chart, SEVENTEEN set a new personal best record. Face The Sun sold a whopping 1,758,565 copies on its first day of release. This is almost twice their previous first-day sales record of 881,788, which was reached by their 2021 mini album Your Choice.

SEVENTEEN has broken its own first-week sales record of 1,364,127 established by Your Choice with Face The Sun in only one day. Not only that, but they are just the second artist in Hanteo history to sell over one million albums on the first day of release. Only their labelmates, BTS, have accomplished this accomplishment.

The HOT vocalists continue to break Hanteo records. The firm was started in Seoul in 1998 and compiled an overview of K-pop record sales in real-time. The information may be seen on the official Hanteo website and is used to gauge the artist’s popularity in Korea and throughout the globe. Furthermore, SEVENTEEN’s Face The Sun has the third-highest first-day sales of any album in Hanteo history, behind only HYBE labelmate BTS’ albums Map of The Soul: 7 and BE.

Members not only surpassed their previous record set by their eighth mini-album, Your Choice, but they also established a new personal best record on the domestic music chart with Face The Sun.

SEVENTEEN is still at the top of the worldwide music charts.

Face The Sun and its first single HOT topped the global iTunes charts. Meanwhile, the lead track HOT debuted at the top of the iTunes Top Songs rankings in at least 26 countries, including Poland, Singapore, and the Philippines. Face The Sun topped the iTunes Top Album Charts in at least 22 different countries, including Brazil.

Furthermore, their new title tune, HOT, climbed to the top of Bugs’ real-time chart as well as Line Music and AWA in Japan. The nine-track CD is a special anniversary record commemorating the band’s seventh anniversary. In addition to Darl+ing, DON QUIXOTE, March, Shadow, ’bout you, If you leave me, and Ash, HOT, Face The Sun is a well-packaged, no-skips CD. Previously, the 13-member brilliant group reached two million stock pre-orders, the group’s biggest amount of pre-orders to date.
