Pablo Cuneta and Elaine Gamboa welcomed Sharon Gamboa Cuneta-Pangilinan into the world on January 6, 1966 in Santa Mesa, Manila, the Philippines. Her mother was a stay-at-home mom, while her father was the former mayor of Pasay. Helen Gamboa, her aunt, was a well-known singer and actress.
