Shemar Moore Relationship Life

In terms of relationship, Shemar Moore allegedly hooked up with actress Sanaa Lathan in February 1985, at the age of 15 – Sanaa was 14 at the time – before his career took off. After dating for more than four years, the couple reportedly took the next step and became engaged in September 1989, and married on May 11, 1990, in a small wedding ceremony. Shemar and Sanaa eventually divorced, and their divorce was finalized on July 15, 1996.

Meanwhile, the handsome actor was allegedly romantically linked in a relationship with actress Bobbie Phillips between 1993 and 1994. Except for the fact that it didn’t last long, little is known about their romance.

Shemar Moore fell in love with famous R&B singer-songwriter Toni Braxton in November 1994, after appearing as her love interest in the music video for her song “How Many Ways.” They hit it off right away, becoming his “first Hollywood relationship,” as he explained in a 2013 interview with BET.

He recalled winning the role in her music video, saying, “I was a baby.” I had no idea what I was talking about. I had recently graduated from college, had no money, and was a regular on ‘Young and the Restless.’ She called my agent while she was filming a video in Miami, and the rest is history.”

He also called their relationship “a wild ride,” adding, “I was like the little kid who found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.” Shemar also stated, “She would never sing for me.” That has always irritated me.” After more than six months of dating, the supposedly hot Hollywood couple decided to split up in May 1995.

In May 1996, after his divorce from Toni Braxton, the “Young and the Restless” star began dating actress Lela Rochon. The couple even made a red carpet appearance at the Fifth Annual MTV Movie Awards in June of the same year, which took place in Burbank, California, but called it quits later that month.

Shemar Moore began a romantic relationship with Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry in 1997. In a 2013 interview with BET, he admitted that she was the first woman to truly knock his socks off, saying, “I fell hard for Halle.”

The “Criminal Minds” star also revealed that the two had to keep their romance a secret because “she was fresh off her divorce from David Justice.”

Shemar went on to say, “I’m still grateful for that relationship.” I was smitten not only by who she was, but also by how similar we were in so many ways. She was bi-racial, and she was going through a lot of the same things I was in Hollywood.” He called their relationship “a necessary experience,” adding, “It made me much stronger as a man, and knowing the caliber of woman I want in the future.” The couple split up in 1998, but they remained on good terms.

Shemar Moore dated Canadian actress Sharlene Royer in 2000. They made their relationship public after locking lips on the red carpet at The 6th Annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards in Santa Monica, California in September of the same year.

However, the public is unaware of how long they lasted as a couple – clearly not long, given their lack of subsequent appearances.

Ashley Scott, his “Birds of Prey” co-star, was completely smitten by the handsome actor in October 2002. Little is known about their relationship because they managed to keep it private; however, it is known that it lasted about a year, as they split up in September 2003.

While filming the 2005 romantic comedy-drama “Diary of a Mad Black Woman,” Shemar Moore and Kimberly Elise fell in love. They dated from July 2004 to October 2005, according to reports. Kimberly recalled the time they co-starred on the film in a February 2019 blog post, revealing that Shemar “was a perfect gentleman and an excellent actor,” adding, “I was a bit nervous about the romantic story line, because I had not really done one before, and Shemar was pro at it.”

Regrettably, she did not reveal any details about their relationship behind the scenes.

Shemar dated famous TV presenter and model Gabrielle Richens in 2006, first appearing publicly at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California in January 2006. It was also the last time they were seen together, indicating that their relationship was obviously short-lived, especially since later that year the famous actor reportedly had an affair with his “The Young and the Restless” co-star Victoria Rowell, but how long they were an item is also unknown.

Following that, the “S.W.A.T.” star cast a spell on Lauriane Gilliéron, a Swiss actress, model, and beauty queen best known for being crowned Miss Switzerland 2005. In July 2007, they met at the Independent Television Festival Opening Night Gala at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles.

They quickly became romantically involved, with Lauriane confirming their romance to the Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick, saying, “I’ve found a good man and I’m very happy,” adding that he was an unknown actor.

Despite keeping their romance low-key, the two were seen holding hands in public; however, their relationship ended the same year, although the reasons for their split remain unknown; however, following their break-up, the ex-Miss Switzerland told the publication, “We had a wonderful time together!”, and in one of his recent interviews, Shemar described her as a beautiful and sweet girl. So, we hope they remained on good terms after their divorce.

Shemar Moore and Instagram star Lauren Wood were a couple in 2014, according to Blast magazine. During the month of July, she accompanied him to two events, the first of which was their red-carpet debut at the 2014 ESPY Awards, followed by their appearance at the 2014 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. However, the two were not seen in public after that, implying that their romance had ended.

Shemar Moore began dating professional soccer player Shawna Gordon in 2014, and they confirmed their relationship in January 2015 after being stopped by the TMZ crew. When a reporter approached their car and asked Moore which female athlete had the best body in sports, he said, “My girlfriend Shawna Gordon, because she’s a professional soccer player,” adding, “If she stands up and turns around, you might just faint.” He dubbed her the “#1 HOTTEST GIRL IN PRO SPORTS.”

Shemar brought her on to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” the following month, telling Ellen that Shawn made him smile and challenged him. He also remembered his grandmother telling him once, “She’s up there smiling at me, she said I told you, I told you, she’s going to show up and bite you on the tush when you least expect it.”

Again, this romance did not last long, and the couple was last seen together in public in July 2016, when they attended an Arsenal Football (soccer) Club event in Los Angeles. According to a source close to the couple, they “appeared to be happy and in love.” “They walked through the crowded event, stopping periodically to share a joke, sneak in a kiss, and take pictures with fans,” the insider continued. Shemar wrapped his arm around Shawna all night, keeping her close by his side.” However, the couple split up shortly afterwards.

According to E! News, the “Criminal Minds” star met TV personality Phaedra Parks for the first time in December 2016 while filming an episode of Andy Cohen’s show “Watch What Happens Live,” during which they got flirty and even locked lips.

Parks told The Daily Dish magazine the next morning, “I’m newly single, and while I had a wonderful kiss with Shemar Moore — a few kisses with Shemar Moore — such a treat for my lips, but I’m single, and if it happens, it happens.”

Cohen asked Phaedra if she was dating anyone the following month, to which she replied, “Well, you hooked me up with somebody, and we chat now and then.” When the host asked if she wanted to date Shemar Moore, she replied, “We’ll see.” As a result, rumors about them becoming a couple persisted.

In November 2017, she promoted Moore’s latest project, the series “S.W.A.T.,” by uploading a throwback photo of herself kissing his neck and referring to him as her “bae” in the caption, which fueled the rumors even further. Moore denied their romance just a few days earlier on E! News’ “Daily Pop,” saying, “I met Phaedra doing a nighttime talk show with Andy Cohen and Andy Cohen does this thing late at night and he likes to get you to drink.”
