Dr. David Agus, who begins sensitive talks with notable Hollywood celebrities about their health difficulties, will star in the program. David Agus is a well-known cancer doctor and medical authority. A-list celebrities ranging from Oprah Winfrey to Ashton Kutcher will participate in The Checkup with Dr. David Agus.
The fresh new series will launch exclusively on Paramount+ on December 6. The streaming service will make the first three episodes available to users who have valid membership and login information. According to the official synopsis for The Checkup with Dr. David Agus,
“A-list celebrities discuss their personal health concerns with Dr. David Agus, a world-renowned medical expert and cancer specialist.”

Dr. David Agus is not a new name in medicine. According to his own website, he is a world-renowned physician and pioneering biomedical researcher. He is also the founder and CEO of the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine, as well as a professor of medicine and engineering at the University of Southern California. Dr. David Agus is a medical oncologist who heads a diverse team of researchers committed to the use and development of technology to assist clinicians in making appropriate healthcare-related decisions based on the requirements of each patient.

Dr. David Agus is also an author, having written three New York Times best-sellers. The titles are The End of Illness, A Short Guide to a Long Life, and The Lucky Years: Thriving in the Brave New World of Health. He also has a new book named The Book of Animal Secrets: Nature’s Lessons for a Long and Happy Life, which will be published in March 2023. He was also awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2017. He and his wife presently reside in California. They share two children as well as a dog called Georgie.
