Following the latest s*xual misconduct claims leveled against him, vocalist Tilian Pearson will leave his band Dance Gavin Dance to seek professional treatment. The band revealed the news on Friday. They made an official statement in which they said,

The band also announced that they will continue touring this summer and that their album Jackpot Juicer will be released on July 29. On June 1, a Reddit member posted a 6,000-word description of her claimed encounters with Tilian Pearson during the band’s April 23 performance at SwanFest in Sacramento, California. The individual stated that she spoke with Pearson over Instagram DM, which she sent while under the influence of anything. They then exchanged phone numbers and decided to go on a “date” before the festival. Pearson revealed during their claimed date that he was going through a difficult period. Despite her attempts to assist him, the lady said that the singer opted to hit her across the face. At this point, the lady remarked,

“Obviously, it was done to be s*xy, but it ended up hurting a lot.” I said it like, ‘Hey, um. That’s OK, but could you just ask again, and maybe not ask so forcefully?”

According to the lady, the singer took exception to her efforts to create physical boundaries while she was there and made her physically uncomfortable.

The lady said she was physically abused and that despite her request not to spend the night with him, he pushed her to. He got into a “strange snuggling posture,” she alleged, and she was unable to move. She added in her post,
