Who Is Tony Rock?

Tony, like his brother Chris, is a stand-up comedian and actor. He has seven siblings, including Chris, and was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has appeared on several well-known shows, including The D’Angelo Show and The Howard Stern Show.

On Everybody Hates Chris, a show based on the comedian’s real-life experiences, he played Uncle Ryan. Tony has also served as the host of the BET Network’s competition show Apollo Live. He is currently a judge on Netflix’s baking reality show Is It Cake?, which will premiere in March 2021.

What Did Tony Rock Say?

During a Twitter Q&A session with his fans, Tony answered several Oscar-related questions.

“Do you approve of (Will Smith’s) apology?” one of them inquired. “No,” Tony said flatly.

“So Diddy was lying when he said Chris and Will made up that night and are good now?” another fan inquired.

“Yep,” wrote the comedian in response.

He also weighed in on the debate over Will’s Oscar win and whether it should be rescinded.

When one Twitter user posed the question, “Should the Oscar be rescinded?” Should Chris get it for his calm demeanor?” “Not my call,” Tony said in response.

Comedian Breaks The Silence

Chris addressed the Oscars incident for the first time on Wednesday during his stand-up show in Boston. According to Variety, he started his set by asking the audience, “How was your weekend?”

Finally, in response to the slap, he stated, “I don’t have a bunch of s**t about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have an entire show I wrote before this weekend.”

“I’m still processing what happened.” So, at some point, I’ll tell you about it. And it will be both serious and humorous.”

When an audience member made a snide remark about Will, the comedian responded, “I’m going to tell some jokes.” It’s nice to be outside.”
