Total Divas, an E! Network reality television series that premiered on July 28, 2013, gives viewers an inside look at the life of female WWE wrestlers. With the use of behind-the-scenes footage, the series addressed their career within WWE and their personal life.

Brie Bella, Cameron, Eva Marie, JoJo, Naomi, Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox, and Alexa Bliss have all appeared on Total Divas, bringing plenty of controversies.

Meanwhile, from season one until season nine [which aired on December 10, 2019], the public questioned the show’s validity, questioning how much of it was real and how much was made up.

In response, professional wrestler and reality television star Nikki, as well as other former cast members of the show, have repeatedly spilled the beans, implying that the display isn’t entirely accurate.

Nikki Bella Reveals That ‘Total Divas’ Is Scripted

Nikki, who remained on the show for the nine-season run, had numerous disputes with her co-stars. The drama helped the show’s TRP rise; nevertheless, most of the upheaval was fabricated.

Nikki said on one of the episodes of The Bellas Podcast, which she co-hosts with her sister Brie that the show’s producers frequently created the drama with the cast members.

“I don’t want to say argue, but when we kind of like clash heads with production because they would push certain things or trigger certain things,”

She remarked, hinting that the involvement of producers in the drama’s creation did not sit well with her.

‘Total Divas’ Scripted and Unscripted Moments

According to a Sportskeeda post on a similar issue, the show featured a combination of actual and manufactured incidents.

In 2013, a cast member called Maria Kanellis indicated in a since-deleted tweet that The Bella Twins kept her from returning to WWE.

Three years later, Brie reported The Bella Twins and Maryse were offered a “great business opportunity.”

” Still, it was later decided that only The Bella Twins were needed.

“Unfortunately, they only wanted my sister and me. Now, business is business, but Maryse mistakenly believed that my sister and I had blocked her from a contract “

Brie explained at the time. Maryse then accused Brie of breaching their agreement, claiming the Bella Twins.

“Did not look at me, call me, or text me for three and a half years”

After their argument, this altercation was supposedly a non-scripted scene from the show. On the other side, Summer Rae walked up to Natalya’s house and slapped her in the face, which became one of the show’s most talked-about incidents in 2014.

However, the scene was allegedly staged. Summer said in a 2019 interview with Ring The Belle that she was presented as a

“terrible and incredibly mean”

personality and that the slap sequence was simply part of the Total Divas script.
