TWICE

TWICE from JYP Entertainment has passed another milestone by selling 10 million records in South Korea. According to Gaon Album Sales (Circle) chart data, the K-pop girl group has sold a total of 10,010,778 copies with 19 albums released since their debut in 2015. This features group member Nayeon’s record-breaking solo mini album, IM NAYEON, which will be published in June 2022. The group’s recent album, Between 1&2, also added to their success, selling 530,000 copies in its first week and surpassing a total of 1 million sales.

TWICE’s Feels Dance Video has reached 100 million views, marking another milestone.

TWICE had two reasons to rejoice on November 23, 2022, when the dance video for their debut English song, The Feels, reached 100 million views. This is their second choreographic video to accomplish this milestone, which was published on October 3, 2022. The first was the 2020 release of the CRY FOR ME dance video. The most popular South Korean female group currently has 20 videos on YouTube with over 100 million views. The group shattered its own record for being the female group with the most music videos with that view count.

TWICE is aiming for worldwide dominance with its Japanese subgroup and impending World Tour.

TWICE, often known as the “Nation’s Girl Group,” has achieved enormous success in Korea since its debut. However, their worldwide appeal has increased in recent years. Between 1&2, the amazing group’s newest album made history on worldwide music charts and launched the band on a record-breaking rampage. With its release, the band had their best-ever first-week sales in the United States, selling a total of 100,000 copies. They were also the first female K-pop artist to have two albums chart in the top three on the Billboard 200. Their most recent album was also the first K-Pop Girl Group Album of 2022 to spend six weeks on the same ranking.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales list, Top Current Album Sales chart, and World Albums chart, making it their most successful return to date. Additionally, within two months of its release, the music video for the title single, Talk That Talk, topped 100 million views.

To capitalize on the rise in popularity, JYP Entertainment recently stated that none would return in early 2023, followed by the launch of its first subunit in Japan, the world’s second-biggest music market. The agency is also apparently planning a “large-scale” international tour for the nine-member ensemble in 2023, with further information to be announced shortly.
