In June 2009, Vicente made his professional debut. Before trying out for the Ultimate Fighter in 2014, he competed in various regional promotions and had a 7-4-1 record. In February 2015, he was one of a few fighters chosen to compete on The Ultimate Fighter between the American Top Team and the Brazilians. Vicente defeated Nathan Coy via submission in the second round of his debut. In the semifinals, he faced Hayder Hassan and was defeated by a split decision.
