Wendy Gaye Filed A Domestic Violence Restraining Order Against Her Husband Marvin Gaye III

Wendy Gaye, Marvin Gaye III’s wife, filed an appeal for a domestic violence restraining order on January 17 after Marvin was detained for threatening her with a pistol. Marvin and Wendy’s marriage was apparently having issues, and things have now taken a turn for the worst after Marvin’s arrest. Marvin’s cousin was also among those killed in the claimed event. Wendy Gaye rose to prominence after marrying Marvin Gaye III. Her present occupation and personal life details are unclear.

On January 14, Marvin III surrendered at the Sheriff’s station.

Marvin III was detained on January 13 after allegedly threatening Wendy and his cousin with a revolver. According to TMZ, Wendy and Marvin began arguing, which prompted the latter to take out his revolver. Officers raced to his residence, believing he was inside and requested him to come out. Following the confrontation, neighbors notified the officers that he had already departed in his vehicle. On January 14, Marvin III surrendered to the Sheriff’s department and was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and felony assault with a firearm. He was already freed on $50,000 bail, and a protection order was issued, directing him to stay away from his home and family. Cops spoke with Marvin III’s family and filed an assault complaint. Although no one was wounded during the dispute inside Marvin III’s home, paramedics and police officials were seen assisting Wendy.

Marvin Gaye III was born on November 17, 1965, to Denise Gordy, who was just 16 years old at the time. He was adopted by late singer and composer Marvin Gaye and his then-wife Anna Gordy. He was a part of a musical duet with Lou Rawls Jr. and is best known for his 2013 track, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. Marvin began hunting for a donor the same year he got renal failure. He went public with his illness, stating that he had been on dialysis for three years and sorely needed a transplant. Marvin III became co-executor of his father’s estate when he was 18 years old. Marvin IV and Dylan are his two sons.

His father was a well-known figure in the music business, best known for his successful albums and songs. Marvin Gaye was shot dead at their home in April 1984 by his father, Marvin Gaye Sr., who was convicted to six years in prison and placed on probation for five years.
