Who Is Janick Arseneau From “Dance 100”?

Dance 100, Netflix’s newest unscripted dance reality show, will feature a variety of dancers and choreographers competing for a $100,000 grand reward by performing and choreographing shows involving large groups of expert dancers.

Janick Arseneau, who recently appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Canada, is one of the candidates scheduled to appear on the program. She co-founded Bee-Yond Belief, a ballet instruction facility in Montreal. The season debut of Dance 100 will air on Netflix on Friday, March 17, at 3:01 a.m. ET.

Janick Arseneau, one of the eight candidates scheduled to fight in Dance 100, earlier appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Canada season 3 in 2010. She placed fourth and received $5,000. The Dance 100 competitor is from Bathurst and began performing at the age of three when she began formal instruction until she was 18. According to Arseneau’s website, ballet has always been a part of her life and has helped her get through some tough moments.

“I’ve always wanted to be a skilled performer. When I was younger, one of my greatest dreams was to be a part of So You Think You Can Dance Canada. I knew my chances of success were limited, coming from a tiny community.”

Janick was aware that she needed to make “big moves,” and she was always mindful of her objectives. She relocated to Montreal after graduating from high school, leaving behind her friends and family to seek a job as a professional performer. The Dance 100 performer has previously featured as a dancer in The Michael Jackson:The Experience video game and as an aide during Micheal Jackson’s The Immortal Tour with Cirque du Soleil, both of which were directed by NappyTabs. She was earlier featured as a performer in Julia Roberts’ Mirror Mirror and Make Your Move 3D. Janick later featured on Season 7 of America’s Best Dance Crew and was one of the performers in Step Up 5: All In.

Her profile also states:

“I am now residing in Los Angeles and achieved my greatest objective yet. As my first work in the United States, I am performing with Jennifer Lopez in her three-year engagement performance at the Axis venue in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.”

She’s previously performed with CeeLo Green, Def Leppard, Melissa Etheridge, Kelly Clarkson, Marie-Mai, and others.

The Dance 100 competitor starred in Jennifer Lopez’s Ain’t Your Mama, Dinero, El Anillo, and Limitless, as well as performing with Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson at the MTV Movie Awards, Hailee Steinfeld at the RDMAs, and Rihanna at the VMAs.

According to her bio:

“Even though I have achieved so many of my aspirations, my aims do not end there. I think that as a performer and as a person, there is always more to learn and accomplish and that one should never compromise. If you can imagine it, you can make it a fact.”

She will now participate in Netflix’s Dance 100, which will debut on the streaming platform on Friday, March 17, at 3:01 a.m. ET.
