Who Is Jessica Fishenfeld From “America’s Got Talent”?

Jessica Fishenfeld, an aerialist, made her debut on Season 17 of America’s Got Talent (AGT) and delighted both the judges and the public. The contestant is a multi-talented performer who is also an actor, comedian, fitness enthusiast, model, and opera singer. Jessica Fishenfeld got standing ovations from judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum, as well as the live audience and television viewers. She is one of many talented contestants who will be on display in the competition.

The American soprano is a well-known New York actor from Great Neck. She got her undergraduate and graduate degrees at NYU Steinhardt and the Manhattan School of Music, respectively, and so started her career in New York City. She made her Broadway debut as Brünnhilde in Das Barbecü, just before the pandemic hit. She then turned to video production to keep acting and creating during the pandemic. She was chosen for a variety of competitions as a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, including the 2015 Ades Vocal Competition. She also played Zerlina in Kenneth Merrill’s production of Don Giovanni, among many other appearances.

According to Broadway World, the artist created and performed in Grateful: The Songs of John Bucchino, 20th Anniversary Virtual Concert, which was described as “one of the slickest, best-produced virtual concerts to come out in the previous ten months.” As the globe was reeling from the epidemic, the AGT finalist and her husband Scott Joiner went to Savannah, Georgia, where she co-starred in Sony Pictures’ criminal dramedy Panhandle and featured in many advertisements. Jessica has also appeared as Sophie in Mamma Mia! at The Savannah Theatre, as well as as an actress and voiceover artist in Overtone Films’ documentaries Unwanted and In the Key of Bach.

The artist made her opera debut at the New York City Opera’s world premiere of Stonewall. During the epidemic, she also performed virtually as a vocalist at several festivals and events, including the New York Festival of Song, Dallas Opera Network, OmniArts Foundation, Opera Carolina, Center for Contemporary Opera, Teatro Grattacielo, and Savannah VOICE Festival.

The AGT participant is a semi-finalist in the American Traditions Competition in 2021 and the 2019 Lotte Lenya Competition. She made her solo debut with The Manhattan Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Helena Symphony in Carmina Burana and Bernstein 100!, Hartford Symphony in Celebrate America!, Birdland, and Newport Music Festival, among many others.

Jessica’s most recent world debuts are Kim in Eric Salzman’s Big Jim & the Small-Time Investors and Lydia Douce in Victoria Bond’s Sirens. The artist is a strong advocate for new American opera. As part of the objective, she produced and hosts the online series Alive & Kicking, which supports similar initiatives.

Jessica has over 3K Instagram followers, and she continuously updates her jobs, projects, and other activities. Aside from Jessica, AGT competitors that performed this week were Maxence VIRE, Freckled Zelda, Ava Swiss, Bayley Graham, Catwall Acrobats, Duo Mico, and many more.
