Because of its intriguing idea, NBC’s American Song Contest has grabbed television by storm. The next edition of American Song Content will air on April 11. On Monday’s program, viewers will watch 11 new vocalists. Stela Cole, a Georgia representative, is one of them. She began writing songs after suffering a sporting injury. On the program, she will perform her own song DIY.
The American Song Contest has 56 competitors from various states around the nation. These are participants that are a mix of unknown and popular artists who will perform original songs in an attempt to earn the country’s vote. Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dog will be judging the music competition.
According to the show’s official synopsis:
“American Song Contest” will include live original musical performances from all 50 states, five U.S. territories, and our nation’s capital, all contending for the country’s vote for Best Original Song. Each region will be represented by an exceptional solo artist, duet, DJ, or band who will play a new, original song reflecting America’s many styles and genres.”
It also says:
“The live competition consists of three phases in which the performers compete in a set of Qualifying Rounds, followed by Semi Finals, and finally the Grand Final, in which one state or territory will be successful.”
Stela Cole from American Idol was a soccer player when she was little.
Stela Cole, a 24-year-old singer from Atlanta, graduated from Starrs Mill High School in 2016. She grew up playing soccer in Peachtree City. She did, however, suffer a significant back injury that left her unable to walk for a year. Her incapacity to move sparked an interest in singing. She said in an interview:
“Being really miserable and angsty and not knowing what I wanted to do with my life,” she said, “I began creating songs on the piano.”
“I was up till 3 a.m. writing.” The tunes were dreadful.”
When Stela was a student at Belmont University in Nashville, she was a budding composer. She learned how to create songs correctly, though, when she met her future manager in university, who taught her all she knew about the process. In 2018, she released her first song, You F O, which was characterized as “addictive” by renowned entertainment news sites, with one outlet claiming that “Stela Cole will completely blow your mind.” However, in 2018, she secured a record deal with RCA Records, however the agreement was short-lived.

Cole became an internet superstar in 2020 after releasing Woman of the Hour, which led to her meteoric rise. She presently has one million monthly listeners and 500,000 followers on social media. The California native is proud of herself for spontaneously attracting a significant fanbase. Furthermore, the I Shot Cupid vocalist is heavily influenced by OutKast, Diana Ross, Brenda Lee, and Doo-wop. Viewers may watch the American Song Contest on NBC from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on April 11, 2022, and on Peacock the following day.
