On August 11, 2014, Will Hayden was arrested and charged with molestation of a juvenile and aggravated crimes against nature. He maintained, however, that the allegations were false and made in retaliation against him by a vengeful ex-girlfriend. Subsequently, the law charged him with child rape based on the victim’s statements. The cancellation of “Sons of Guns” was a result of these charges. Additionally, his older daughter filed a charge of aggravated rape against him. His daughter told police that her father raped her when she was 12 years old 22 years prior.
Hayden’s bail was increased from $200K to $350K as a result of this latest charge, and he pleaded not guilty in January 2015. Similarly, on April 7, 2017, he was convicted of two counts of aggravated rape and one count of forcible rape of two girls over a two-decade period.
The judge then sentenced him to two life sentences (mandatory for aggravated rape), to run concurrently, plus 40 years in prison, to run consecutively, on May 11 of that year. Additionally, he is ineligible for parole or probation. Or a sentence reduction, and will spend the remainder of his life in custody.
Additionally, Hayden was sentenced to a third life sentence for rape on July 12, 2017, by Livingston Parish Judge Robert Morrison after pleading not guilty to the charges against him. Currently, he is serving three life sentences plus 40 years and has been transferred to the Louisiana State Penitentiary.
