Spence’s family has not issued a public comment regarding his passing at the time of writing this piece. Douglas Now Local News was among the first to report on Willie Spence’s death. They said that the child was in Tennessee at the time of his death. The news source posted the following on Facebook:

Willie Spence was heading home from Atlanta when he died, according to TMZ. According to sources acquired by E! News, the 23-year-old died as a result of injuries suffered when his automobile collided with a tractor-trailer on a Marion County interstate.
